Because this is The Historical Herald and I want you to get the best information, I'd like to mention that all of the events really did happen to the best of our knowledge and I've tried to accurately represent them. However, the ullamalitzi game (the sports article) sits in that blurry line between fact and legend. It's likely that the two leaders did play a game, but the written records appear only after the Spanish conquered Tenochtitlan. For this reason, many historians believe the story is embellished to fit a narrative.

Also, while I did my best to try to find out the proper values of the currencies (and I think they're pretty accurate), it's highly likely they're not exact. Saying a pennyweight is 1.55g of gold is a modern addition there to help readers understand better. To put the values into perspective, that same amont of (pure) gold is roughly 200 USD today.

All images were made by AI as it was the only cost-effective way of making realisic looking images. I did make sure that details were as accurate as possible!
